2. What the service does
Spanish, Personally helps you practice writing Spanish sentences. It offers exercises, AI feedback and hints, saved practice, reviews and personal progress information. It is not a certified proficiency test. We do not promise a score, a particular learning result, fluency by a given date or error-free feedback.
3. Intended audience and teen permission
Signed-in practice is available to adults aged 18 or older and, through our teen program, U.S. residents aged 13–17 with permission from a parent or legal guardian using a separate adult account. Under-13 accounts and teen accounts outside the United States are not available. Do not evade an eligibility restriction by changing accounts or using the guest preview.
We ask for a self-reported birth date and, for teen setup, whether you live in the United States. We retain the eligibility result, check time and policy version, not the entered birth date. The parent or guardian declares their relationship and grants permission using a private, expiring code. We verify access to separate accounts; this is not government-ID or legal-relationship verification. Both the adult granting permission and the teen must accept the current Terms before the teen begins practice. A parent or guardian may withdraw permission, and a teen may pause their participation by withdrawing it. Withdrawal blocks new practice; it does not silently delete saved work or complete account closure. Contact support about re-entry, a mistaken result, turning 18, an incorrect account link or a child-data concern.
The initial teen program offers prompted Spanish practice and screened topics. My own words, library contributions, sharing controls, affiliate recommendations in practice, recap emails, push reminders and optional learning-effectiveness evaluation are unavailable for teen accounts. Parent permission does not authorize unrelated research or marketing. The separate 20-sentence guest preview has no age form and does not provide the teen program's account-specific permission controls; it is not an alternative to required teen setup.
4. AI feedback and safe use
AI-generated exercises, hints, explanations and assessments can be wrong, overlook valid Spanish or suggest unsuitable material. They are practice aids, not authoritative judgments about your ability or professional advice. You can report suspected errors or safety concerns through the app or support. Teen inputs and generated responses receive automated safety checks, which can miss unsuitable content or block harmless material. When a check is unavailable, no tutoring assessment is returned. Certain disclosures pause the exercise and show fixed support information rather than a grammar grade. We do not continuously monitor conversations, provide crisis care or automatically forward private writing to parents. In the U.S., call or text 988 for crisis support or call 911 for immediate danger; speak with a trusted adult. Do not rely on the service for emergency, medical, legal or financial advice.
Keep sign-in codes private and use only accounts and information you are entitled to use. Do not try to access another person's records, bypass safeguards, interfere with the service, submit malicious material, harass others or use the service unlawfully. Avoid unnecessary sensitive details or private information about other people in practice content. We may limit topics or access for safety, security or misuse; automated checks can make mistakes, so contact support if a restriction appears wrong.
5. Your submissions and choices
You keep the rights you have in what you submit. You allow us and the providers identified in the Privacy Notice to process submissions as needed to provide and protect the features you request, including generating and saving practice, feedback, reviews and reports. This does not authorize selling your private writing or publishing it as a testimonial or example. AI output may resemble material given to others; we do not promise it is unique or copyrightable.
Library contribution, recap emails and push reminders have separate controls. Library contribution concerns screened AI-generated English prompts, not your Spanish answers or drafts; an already approved generic prompt may remain in the shared library after you stop contributing, as explained with that choice.
Optional learning-effectiveness evaluation is currently off. If offered later, it will require a separate affirmative choice. Accepting Terms, signing in or using ordinary practice does not opt you in. Declining or withdrawing that choice will leave saved practice, personal statistics and personalized reviews available.
6. Terms acceptance, privacy and closure
Before signed-in practice, you must accept the current published Terms after the stated effective time. Visitors can try up to 20 guest sentences without signing in, an age check or Terms acceptance. The Privacy Notice remains available during guest practice and describes the information used to provide that trial. If you decline the Terms, signed-in practice pauses; earlier saved practice is not erased by that choice. You can still sign in to download or delete saved practice and ask for access, correction or account closure without accepting the new Terms. Deleting practice does not close your account. Contact support@spanishpersonally.com for a broader request or account closure. Acceptance of these Terms does not enroll you in optional learning-effectiveness evaluation.
7. Service changes and payments
Features may change or be unavailable during maintenance. We may reasonably restrict access for security, ineligibility or misuse and, when appropriate, explain the reason and support route. A restriction does not remove applicable privacy or consumer rights.
No paid subscription is offered under these Terms. Any later paid offer will present its price, renewal, cancellation and applicable refund terms before you agree to a charge. These Terms do not authorize a payment.
We will show a version and effective date for published Terms, explain material changes and request new acceptance where required. A Terms change will not turn on optional evaluation. Nothing here removes rights or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. These Terms do not impose arbitration, a class-action waiver, a broad user indemnity or a fixed liability cap.
